Our Building
Located in Mullingar, County Westmeath. The Hibernian Cinema opened on 20th May 1945 with Bud Abbott & Lou Costello in “In Society”. The seating capacity was 920 in stalls & circle levels. It presented occasional variety on its stage.
It was closed in 1988 and converted into a twin screen cinema, known as the Ritz Cinema, which reopened on 3rd March 1989 with Tom Cruise in “Cocktail”. It closed around 2002. (Source: Westmeath Guide)
